Indian Writer B. Raman Blames U.S. Policy for Militant Activities in China's Xinjiang Province, Says: 'The Jamaat-e-Islami of Pakistan Contributes Money Regularly to the ETIM And Helps Many Uighur Students in Pakistan'

In a recent article, former Indian official and security affairs analyst B. Raman blamed U.S. policy for some militant activities carried out by the East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM) in the wider Xinjiang region. The article, titled "The Xinjiang Angle" was published by the website of India's noted weekly magazine Outlook. Raman, formerly an Additional Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat of the Government of India, is Director of the Institute for Tropical Studies, Chennai, India.

Muslim Clerics: Cyber Warfare against Israel Is a Form of Jihad

A cyber war is currently raging on the Internet between Arab hackers (most of them Saudi) and Israeli hackers. In the first half of January, a team of Saudi hackers led by an individual calling himself OxOmar published personal details of over 400,000 Israelis, including tens of thousands of credit card numbers. A few days later, Arab hackers attacked Israeli websites, including those of the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, the national carrier El Al, several banks and hospitals, Israel's fire and rescue services, and the Haaretz daily. In response, Israeli and pro-Israel hackers attacked the websites of the Saudi and Abu Dhabi stock exchanges, and published the details of Saudi credit cards and of thousands of Facebook accounts belonging to Arabs.

From Asia, the march will set out from India on March 9 and proceed to Jordan. The GMJ follows the First Asian Convoy to Gaza (December 2010-January 2011).

On February 9, 2012, Al-Qaeda's media wing Al-Sahab released a video statement by Al-Qaeda leader Ayman Al-Zawahiri. The video, 14:41 in duration, is in two parts; the first part is an audio message by Mukhtar Abu Zubayr, Emir of the Somali jihad group Al-Shabab Al-Mujahideen, in which he swears allegiance on behalf of the group to Al-Zawahiri – thus officially joining Al-Qaeda, and the second part is a video message by Al-Zawahiri himself.
