In Lebanon, Nasrallah, March 14 Forces In War Of Reactions Over Iran Elections

The general secretariat of the March 14 Forces in Lebanon praised Iranian people's courage and their adherence to freedom, expressing hope that stability and moderation would replace Iranian extremism and Iran's policy of interference in Lebanon's and other countries' internal affairs.

In response, Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah called on the March 14 Forces to stop focusing on the Iranian elections, which they do not understand, and demanded that they not speak out against the principle of the "rule of the jurisprudent" which is part of the faith of Lebanon's Shi'ites.

Nasrallah added that the demonstrators in Iran were the enemies of the regime and that the world would not stand against the desire of 40 million Iranian voters.

He assessed that Iran would easily get through the crisis.

Report: Group Of IRGC Soldiers Announces Its Support For The People

In a June 17 blog post, a group of soldiers from Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) announced that it would stand with the people and would not serve "those who betray the vote of the people," who "seek authority and monopoly."

The group also asked the Basij to join the defense of the people and to lay down its arms.

Following is a translation of the blog post:

"As God is our witness, we will not permit those who seek authority and monopoly to trample the blood of the martyrs of the [Islamic] Revolution... despite the danger to our own lives.

We stand fast against those who betray the vote of the people, and we will not permit them to wash their hands in the blood of the martyrs [of the current demonstrations]. We will not permit a few corrupt commanders wearing the sacred uniform of the IRGC to spill the blood of the people.

"We strongly urge our brothers in the Basij to distance themselves from the rioting and to lay down their weapons and to join the people."
