Ahmadinejad: Iran's Name Shines Throughout The World – Iranian Nation Is Today Nuclear

In a speech at Bushehr, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said: "Today, Iran's name shines throughout the world, and the Iranian nation and its Supreme Leadership prosper, while the enemies of Iran have become isolated."

He added, "After two and a half years of resistance, the Iranian nation is today a nuclear nation, having given not the slightest concessions or guarantees to anyone."

He also said, "Today, the Iranian nation is leading the global human society and the flag-bearers of this leadership are our disabled veterans. One of those victories is exporting the justice-seeking message of the Islamic Revolution to countries around the globe.

Ahmadinejad told his audience, "During the tenure of past [Iranian governments] two heavy concessions and guarantees were given over the process of our country's becoming a nuclear power. Both of these have been annulled, thanks to the righteous resistance of our people over their nuclear rights... "[One concession was that] IAEA inspectors] could inspect any point in Iran on baseless pretexts, and [one guarantee was that] we had to fully indentify any Iranian scientist intending to work in the nuclear field. Both were annulled thanks to the nation's resistance, and the Leadership's guidance."

He added that Iran's enemy did not oppose Iran's nuclear program, or missiles, but "the spirit of this nation's bravery and nobility, gained from their love for Imam Hussein, that that they fear most – and this is what can lead us to the peaks of power and grandeur."

He stressed that some were "seriously annoyed" that Iran had gone nuclear without making concessions, and that its nuclear dossier was about to be finally and fully resolved. He said that "we feel very sorry for [such people]. Those who are glad at the misery of the people cannot be called human beings."

Hamas Rep In Iran: Iran's Support Helped Palestinians Break Gaza Siege

In an interview with the Iranian news agency Fars, Hamas representative in Iran Abu Osama Abd Al-Muwati appealed to Iran to continue to support the Palestinians, because "it is by virtue of this support that the Palestinians have succeeded in breaking the Gaza siege."

He said that the Palestinians would not permit the Rafah crossing to remain closed, since they saw it as one of the elements in their independence.

He added that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas had carried out the coup against Hamas Prime Minister Isma'il Haniya with the help of the U.S. and Israel, whom he serves. He also attacked the Arab regimes that he said are collaborating with the U.S. on the Palestinian issue because they fear losing their jobs.

Senior Iranian Official: Sudanese Nation Triumphed In Forming Islamic State Thanks To Iran

Iranian parliamentary speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel said in Khartoum on January 30 that the Sudanese nation had triumphed in forming an independent Islamic state in Africa and that this was thanks to Iran's Islamic Revolution.

He added that Muslim thinkers and leaders had a duty to teach their nations to adopt a critical approach to Western culture and civilization, which tries to dominate the world with new deceitful features and images every day.

Haddad-Adel said that every Muslim was obligated "to withstand the Zionist regime of Israel's crimes and brutality and to defend the oppressed Palestinian nation... The Great Satan and hegemonic powers are... today trying to prevent the criminal Zionism from being the target of the Muslim world's hatred and protests, and are making efforts to sow differences among the Muslim ummah, providing wrong news and analyses in a bid to [do so]."

Iran FM: Iran Will Announce Date Of Next U.S. Talks "Later"

Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said January 28 that Iran was considering when to hold the fourth round of talks with the U.S. on Iraq, and would announce it later.

Speaking at a press conference after returning from the World Economic Forum at Davos, Switzerland, Mottaki said that Iran's major considerations were "the U.S. commitment to the results of Iran-U.S. talks on Iraq as well as effectiveness of the talks."

Earlier this month, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini had informed Washington through Iraqi authorities of its considerations over the next round of talks. Iranian officials have complained that the U.S. made unfounded allegations over Iran's support for Iraqi insurgents.
