The prayer imam of the Iranian town of Mashhed, Ahmad Alam Al-Hoda, who is a member of the Assembly of Experts, which supports Ahmadinejad, said today that the protestors are trying to eliminate the sanctity of the leadership establishment, and that that sanctity emanates from a relationship with God.
He noted that even before the elections the regime had acted against this extremist stream, by closing the newspaper of a political group that published an article titled "Hamas is terrorist and Israel is right."
