Saudi Arabia Will Participate in Islamic Solidarity Games, UAE Will Boycott Them

Hassan Mirza Aghabeik, executive secretary of the Islamic Solidarity Games slated to take place in Iran in October 2009, stated that Saudi Arabia would send a delegation of 328 athletes, and that the UAE had announced that it would boycott the games because the medals are engraved with the name "Persian Gulf" (instead of "Arabian Gulf").
