Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Hassan Qashqavi has said that Iran's package of proposals to the West deals with global issues, including WMD disarmament, a solution to the economic crisis, and ways of dealing with cultural and moral problems.
He said that Iran enjoys great legitimacy following the elections, which had 85% turnout.
He also noted that Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki had met with the Turkish foreign minister and with the secretary-general of the Organization of the Islamic Conference to discuss the slaughter of Muslims in China.
