Commander: Iran Increasing Speed, Range of Air Defense Systems

A senior Iranian military commander announced today that Iran had successfully increased the speed and range of its air defense systems.
"The air defense systems' operational speed and range have been promoted thanks to the attempts made by our country's experts. We are witnessing a jump in this field when considering the previous models," Lieutenant Commander of Khatam ol-Anbia air defense base Gen. Seyed Reza Taheri said.
Pointing to the countrywide wargames codenamed Modafean-e Aseman-e-Velayat 2 (Sky Defenders 2) currently being conducted by the Iranian armed forces, Taheri noted, "We have tested new defensive tactics based on battlefield (conditions) and we operationalized mobility and speed in moving the systems – most of them are mobile – in battlefield."
He noted that during the drills, the Iranian Armed Forces also successfully tested tactical independence of battlefields.
