According to the Iranian news agency Fars, Iran announced today that it has managed to build air and coast command-and-control defense systems, following its great tactical and strategic achievements, especially in the production of defensive tools and equipment.
Iranian Defense Minister Brig.-Gen. Ahmad Vahidi declared the success during a ceremony to inaugurate 36 electronic and communications projects of the ministry to mark the launch of the "Ten-Day Dawn" ceremonies celebrating the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran in 1979.
Speaking to reporters, Vahidi reiterated that the variety and extensiveness of the Defense Ministry's electronic productions at the tactical and strategic levels show Iran's progress in the field.
"The design and manufacturing of secure and stable networks of electronic war control and command, border surveillance control and command, air and coast defense systems control and command are some samples of this capability," he added.
Vahidi also asserted that Iran has reached self-sufficiency in launching complicated electronic, optic and communications technology, adding that the same trend of development is in process in more sensitive technologies, including space systems which use highly sophisticated electronic devices.
