Researchers from Iran’s Amir Kabir University of Technology have successfully manufactured the country’s first light unmanned helicopter.
The helicopter weighs 10 kg and can fly for one hour on airplane fuel. It is remotely operated, and the researchers have planned to equip it with an automatic system.
The helicopter could be used for transmission of information, taking photos and films of oil, gas, oil platforms, pipelines, intercity traffic, traffic control, and firefighting.
