Iranian Defense Minister Brig.-Gen. Ahmad Vahidi yesterday called for all-out cooperation among the Persian Gulf littoral states to establish regional security.
"Establishment of collective security is the pattern desired by the Islamic Republic of Iran," Vahidi said at a meeting with Qatari Crown Prince Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani in Tehran.
"We believe that all countries of the region should be committed to the protection of stability and security in the sensitive region of the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz," the Iranian minster underscored.
He also expressed Iran's preparedness to further expand defense and military cooperation with Qatar and the other Persian Gulf littoral states.
