In Iran, Sunnis Protest Defamation Of Muhammad’s Wife

In response to statements by Iranian Majlis member Mehdi Kouchakzadeh that 'Aisha, wife of the Prophet Muhammad, had deviated from the righteous path, the highest ranking Sunni cleric in the country, Sheikh Abd Al-Hamid, called on Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei to put an end to the insults to 'Aisha, who is being attacked by the Shi'ites due to her opposition to the caliphate of Ali, the founder of the Shi'a.
