Ahmadinejad Presents Plan For Afghanistan Crisis

At a press conference in Kabul with Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that the two countries had shared interests and enemies, and that the presence of foreign forces was the root of the Afghan people's problems.

Iranian Ambassador to Afghanistan Fada Hussein Maleki said that Iran ahd so far given Afghanistan aid totaling $280 million.

Before departing for Afghanistan, Ahmadinejad said that his country had innovative plans for resolving ongoing problems in Afghanistan and for the withdrawal of the occupying forces from the country.
