Ahmadinejad: World Facing Tremendous Changes, Paving Way For Mahdi

In a speech in Hormozegan, in southern Iran, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that the world is facing tremendous changes; the arrogant ones will depart, and the path to the rule of the Mahdi [the Shi'ite Messiah] will open.

He also insisted that the name "Persian Gulf" is "so irrefutable that it is non-negotiable."
