Tehran Friday prayer leader Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani said in his sermon today that the West was lying about terrorism.
Ayatollah Kashani said, "An individual who has carried out terrorist moves and is the famous terrorist in Kordestan province (PJAK leader Rahman Haji Ahmadi) goes to Germany, and German government arrests and then frees him within 24 hours."
"When German government freed the terrorist, it also offered apologies to him because his elements are against Iran. This shows that the West supports terrorists," Kashani added.
He said that the opponents of Iran had freed the PJAK leader, only because of conducting terrorist operations against Iranian citizens.
"On the other hand, the Italian government arrests a person who was correspondent of IRIB for 17 years (Hamid Masouminejad), and this reveals the realities of the West," he added.
Kashani also condemned the obstructionisms by arrogant and hegemonic powers to Iran's peaceful nuclear program, and said that the West accuses Iran of trying to build atomic weapons in order to prevent Tehran from gaining access to scientific and industrial advancements. He said: "The West has stood against Iran's scientific progress."
