A Saudi source has said that after three months of negotiations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, Iman bin Laden, the daughter of Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, has been permitted to leave Iran and has arrived in Syria, where she will be staying with her mother.
For over three months, Iman bin Laden had been staying at the Saudi Embassy in Tehran after fleeing from house arrest by Iranian authorities.
Iman’s brother, Omar bin Laden, 19, said that he did not know how to repay Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Al-Saud [for his kindness] who exerted great efforts to ensure Iman bin Laden’s departure from Tehran. He said, “He has the worth of a thousand princes.” Omar bin Laden also praised Saud Al-Faisal’s aides and Saudi Embassy in Tehran. He said, “We would like to thank them for their generosity and their Arab nobility in hosting my sister Iman for over 100 days.”
