Iran: U.S. Aims To Interfere In Forming Iraqi Gov't

Iran rejected a report in the Iraqi press that Iranian Majlis speaker Ali Larijani would arrive in Iraq in an attempt to influence the makeup of the new Iraqi government.

The Iranian daily Jomhouri-e Eslami said that statements by Gen. Ray Odierno, commander of the U.S. forces in Iraq, that Iran is training fighters from the Iraqi organization Kitaab Hizbullah to attack U.S. forces during their withdrawal from Iraq were laying the groundwork for U.S. interference in the makeup of the new Iraqi government.
