Majlis Tasks Iran's Nuclear Organization With Supplying Nuclear Fuel For Research Reactors

The Iranian Majlis passed a bill here today requiring Iran's Atomic Energy Organization to enrich uranium to 20% to supply nuclear fuel to the country's research and training reactors.

Also under the bill, the government is also permitted to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) only within the framework of the Safeguard Agreements of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

The Majlis also necessitated the government not to cooperate with the IAEA beyond the Safeguard Agreements and to reject any demand it makes beyond this limit.

Meantime, an Iranian lawmaker announced on Sunday that Iran would not allow those IAEA inspectors who have transgressed their responsibilities in supervising Iran's nuclear activities to enter the country.
