In its editorial, the conservative Iranian daily Jomhouri-e Eslami stated that the solution of "two states for two peoples" proposed to the Palestinians by the U.S. and Israel is "a satanic plot aimed at advancing the Zionist goals" because experience shows that the Israelis will never agree to the establishment of a Palestinian state.
It also states that President Bush's visit to the Middle East is aimed at saving Israel from collapse.
