Ahmadinejad In Blog: How Can We Not See The Divine Halos And Waves Of Light Guiding Us And The Revolution?
In his blog on June 11, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad referred to the divine light that he claims guides him and the Islamic revolution, saying:
"We cannot deny the halo of God. Anyone who does not see this acknowledges his blindness. When we see that the practical result of the sanctions [on Iran] and of the economic blockade in the first and second decades [of the Islamic Revolution in Iran] is the tremendous scientific and economic progress in the third decade of the revolution, while the result should have been its weakening, but on the contrary it strengthened us 100 times over – then how can we not see the divine halos and waves of light?...
"The seeing of the divine light in politics, and in the serial victories taking place, from Lebanon and Palestine to Iraq, Iran, and New York, is in favor of the values of the [Islamic] revolution and Islam, and in favor those who were raised on Khomeini's monotheistic culture. For the generation of the revolution, this matter is not foreign; rather, not seeing the halo of light is what is strange and misses the truth."
