Iranian Newspapers: Russia Must Support Iran

The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) weekly Sobh-e Sadeq has called on Russia to take into account Iran's interests – despite the fact that it does not want Iran to become more powerful – because it needs Iran in its struggle against the West.

The Iranian daily Etemad-e Meli called on Russia to openly support Iran, and not to merely declare that it does not support the sanctions against it.

The daily also stated that Russia must complete the Bushehr nuclear reactor, must take into account Iran's interests in the Caspian Sea, and must act to establish a political bloc that will include not only Russia and Iran but also Syria and Latin America.
