The Iranian opposition daily Etemad-e Meli states that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is alienated from the people and is not aware of the harsh economic situation or of the spreading poverty in the country.
The paper pointed at Iran's high inflation and at the lack of a clear economic policy as factors in the country's social crisis.
