The head of the Republican CHP, Deniz Baykal, reacted to the recent crisis caused by the military document published by the Taraf newspaper describing the coup d'etat plans of the army against the AKP government and the Gulen movement. Baykal said the issue of whether the document is false or not should be cleared immediately.
Baykal said that there have been many cases in the past where false documents on the actions of his party were used to prove wrong claims. Baykal said that if it is proven that this document on the military coup d'etat plans is false, then this is an opportunity for the Turkish democracy to reach up to a new stage. If it is false, then all the secret plans which intend to lead Turkey in a dangerous direction will be exposed.
