The republican CHP leader Deniz Baykal said that his party presented a bill to the parliament and if the bill passes at the parliament, all the problems of the Alevis will be resolved in a short period. Baykal said that the issue of the legal status of cemevis (places of worship) should be cleared up, the compulsory religious classes should be cancelled and the Alevis should be represented at the Religious Affairs Ministry.
Baykal also said that they are working to make CHP the political party of Turkey.
