Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan: "We have raised the standards of our democracy"

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with the ambassadors of the EU countries for a lunch where he commented on the recent developments in Turkey. Erdogan said that they had raised the standards of democracy in Turkey and resolved many controversial issues.

Erdogan also referred to recent crisis that was caused by the publication of a military document describing a possible coup d'etat attempt at the government. Erdogan said that noone can stop Turkey's development and advancement in the path of democracy. He stated that the reactions given to this document proved that Turkey reacts to such unlawful events in a unified manner and does not allow for any conflict within itself.
