Mine Law Taken to the Constitutional Court

The opposition presented its official statement of complaint to the Constitutional Court regarding the mine law which has recently passed from the parliament. It argues that the clauses on the removal of mines and leasing this land for agricultural purposes for 44 years are against the Turkish constitution.

The statement of complaint was signed by 195 members of parliament from the republican CHP, the nationalist MHP, the Kurdish DTP, leftist DSP and the Turkish Party.
