The vice chairman of the republican CHP, Kemal Anadol, said that if the president does not veto the law that will allow the judgment of people from the military in civil courts, they will take the law to the constitutional court. CHP also stated that after the military coup d’etats, they started to be against the judgment of civil citizens in military courts. The change in the constitution should be made such that the military personnel will be judged in military courts and the civil citizens will be judged by civil courts.
The CHP members also said that it was not true that they agreed with the recent changes proposed by the ruling AKP. They stated that this was a lie told by the AKP.
