The Russian Ambassador in Ankara, Vladimir Ivanovsky, gave an interview to the Cumhuriyet newspaper. During the interview Ivanovsky said that Turkey was a very important country in the world and the cooperation between Turkey and Russia was developing especially in terms of energy.
Ivanovsky also referred to the Gulen schools in his interview and said that the education program of the Gulen schools did not match the Russian education program. He emphasized that the Gulen schools’ activities included religion and they wanted to impose their own perspective to the students. He said that they demanded from these schools to organize their program according to the Russian education system.
