Extensive Operations Against the Kurdish PKK Started

A special commando brigade has started extensive operations against the Kurdish PKK in the southern city of Tunceli. It was reported that the military received information that the PKK was getting ready to launch attacks at the 11^th anniversary of the arrival of the imprisoned PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan to Turkey after he was arrested. It is expected that the military will increase its operations against the Kurdish PKK in March.
