Yesterday’s lead story of the Islamist Turkish daily Milli Gazete was on the Annapolis Conference for peace in the Middle East. The newspaper slammed the meeting, saying it was seeking to annihilate Palestine and establish "the larger Jewish state”.
The daily quoted Ismail Rıdvan, a Hamas representative, as saying, “The conference will not serve any of the interests of the Palestinians. The gathering in Annapolis is being organized only to support the Zionist enemy.”
The daily said that the meeting in Annapolis served as a disguised discussion of “the invasion of Iran.”
