Iran Accuses Ankara of Hypocrisy on Syria, "Erdogan and Other Powers Behind the Protests in Syria"

According to Hurriyet’s report, Iran’s semi-official Fars News Agency and the state television Press TV accused Turkey for being hypocritical regarding the events in Syria. In the commentary signed by Hadi Mohammedi of the Fars News Agency, it is said that while Ankara pretended to be supporting the government of Bashar Assad, it was embracing the armed gangs that rebelled against Assad. He claimed that the U.S. was directing Turkey to implement its anti-Damascus plans.

The Press TV said that Turkey was directly behind the protests in Syria and further claimed that the arms that the rebels used (which were recently seized) had come from Turkey.
