At an event organized by Islamist Milli Gorus’s Human Assistance Foundation [IHH] that took place on March 17, 2008 at an Istanbul sports complex, columnist Abdurrahman Dilipak of the radical Islamist daily Vakit told thousands of Turks that if Muslims woke up and stood up together neither America nor Israel could ever harm them. He asked the Muslims not be customers of imperialists and told them to boycott American products such as Coca Cola, and cigarettes.
At the event that was organized to support the Palestinians and was called “Not Only Verbally, But Urgently”, Dilipak told passionate crowds that the road to heaven was through fighting [jihad] and that he was a soldier in the Third World War. He said, “Allah wants to you to become shahids. This is the easiest way to reach Allah. Allah wants to punish the cruel infidels through your hands. If you don’t do this, you will carry the fuel to your fire when you die. If you don’t cling to Allah, Allah will let go of you”.
Crowds chanted Allah u Akbar and antisemitic slogans and condemned Israel. A message from Ismail Hanniya of Hamas to Turkish people was read and the evening closed with prayers from the Koran.Source: Hurriyet, Vatan, Vakit, velfecr.com, March 17, 2008
