Islamic clerics from 28 Pakistani religious groups have issued a fatwa declaring suicide attacks in Pakistan haram (forbidden).
United under the banner of the Muttahida Ulema Council, they also accused the Pakistani government of being behind the suicide attacks.
Demanding that the missile attacks in Pakistan’s tribal districts be stopped immediately, the clerics decided to deliver sermons during Friday prayers this week, on October 17, to mentally prepare the people of Pakistan against U.S. policies in the region.
