In Matta, a town in the Swat district of Pakistan’s North West Frontier Province, the Taliban have asked shopkeepers not to allow women inside their shops.
A warning issued by the Taliban gave three days’ notice to the shopkeepers to begin obeying their order. The Taliban have released posters to this effect, warning women not to enter shops.
