Mohammad Ameen, the governor of the Balamurghab district of Afghanistan’s northwestern Badghis province, has been arrested on charges that he has links with Taliban militants, according to a Dari-language Afghan daily.
Mohammad Ghows, the head attorney of the province, said that the Balamurghab governor was arrested for corruption and Taliban links, according to a Dari-language newspaper Roznama Mellat.
He stated that Mohammad Ameen had been helping the Taliban.
