As many as 903 personnel of the Pakistani paramilitary force Frontier Constabulary (FC) have been dismissed from jobs for refusing to take part in operations against militants in a semi-tribal area of Peshawar, according to an Urdu-language daily.
According to a report in the Urdu-language newspaper Roznama Islam, the sacked personnel were posted in the federally-administered Frontier Region Peshawar, situated near Peshawar.
Siffat Ghayur, the commandant of the FC, said that FC officers have been directed to collect arms and government documents from the dismissed securitymen.
He added that strict action would be taken against any FC personnel who refuse to take part in the operation against the militants.
