Senior Pakistani Editor: We Should Not Hesitate In Using Nuclear Weapons To Take Kashmir From India
The senior Pakistani editor Majeed Nizami has said that Kashmir is a jugular vein for Pakistan and it should not hesitate from using nuclear weapons in order to get it from India. Majeed Nizami is the Chief Editor of mainstream newspapers Roznama Nawa-i-Waqt and The Nation newspapers and Managing Director of ‘Waqt’ television channel.
His Urdu newspaper Roznama Nawa-i-Waqt quoted him as saying: ‘‘It is better to die fighting than die due to famine. Kashmir is our biggest issue and showing flexibility on this matter is tantamount to treason. Whoever shows flexibility on the issue, I will consider him as a traitor.’’ He noted that the founder of Pakistan M. A. Jinnah had described Kashmir as shah-e-rag (jugular vein) of Pakistan.
According to the report, Majeed Nizami said the American think tanks are forecasting that Pakistan will become another Somalia in 2018-19 and India too wants to dismantle Pakistan. He said, ‘‘In fact in 1947 itself [the year of creation of Pakistan out of India] India had planted the time bomb of Kashmir in our foundations.’’
According to the report, the senior Pakistani editor said, ‘‘We should not wait more for the independence of Kashmir.’’
Majeed Nizami said his ‘Waqt’ television channel is, like the entire Nawa-i-Waqt group, the torch-bearer of the Nazaria-e-Pakistan (the ideology of Pakistan) and will stand for the Pakistan as envisaged by M. A. Jinnah and Islamist poet Allama Iqbal.
