10 Girls Schools Set Afire, Check-Posts In Swat District Attacked

Ten girls’ schools were set afire on Tuesday-Wednesday night in the Swat district of Pakistan’s North West Frontier Province. According to a report in the Urdu-language newspaper Roznama Jang, all school buildings and furniture were destroyed in the incident.

According to the report, several security check-posts maintained by police and para-military forces in the Swat district also came under heavy attack on Tuesday-Wednesday night, killing one member of the para-military force.
